Photography came first.

Motorcycles followed, and somewhere between riding to work and traveling trough mountains they became inseparable.

I’m Jane Duursma, a full time photographer who feels most at home with a camera in her hand.

To me, a motorcycle is never just transport. It is an invitation to leave, to arrive differently, to feel everything a bit more intense.

The crisp air, the responce of the throttle, the ticking once the engine cools down.

Through my work, I translate that feeling into images. I chase light, capture moments that only exist when you slow down enough.

A woman sitting on a black motorcycle on a mountain road, with snow-capped mountain peaks in the background.
A person jumping in the air next to a red, white, and blue Honda sport motorcycle on a racetrack.
A young woman smiling at the camera while holding a large camera lens. She is outdoors at a racing circuit with stacked tires and a racetrack in the background. She is wearing a black cap with orange text that says 'Motor Circuit TRAINING' and a red racing vest.
